The Criminalization of Christianity

by Robert Alan Ward

“If you read history you will find that the Christians who did the most for the present world, were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.”
C. S. Lewis

Summary: Through Fear and Trembling

The sudden passing of Reverend Jeremiah Martin catapults Brandon Mills, the Green Valley Community Church youth pastor into the position of acting senior pastor. Six weeks into the job, he receives a summons to meet the head of the local Bureau of Governmental Affairs, Justinian Lubinicek. Justinian informs him that fundamentalists (the government’s label for all Bible believing Christians) have been declared a subversive cult, requiring close surveillance and control.
When Brandon refuses to cooperate with Justinian’s attempted intrusions, a number of governmental steps are taken to force compliance. With Justinian seeming to anticipate every move the church makes, Brandon comes to suspect that there is a Judas amongst them—but who?
This taut thriller envisions the form that the coming persecution of Bible believing churches in America and Canada may take. Will the forces of darkness extinguish the light at Green Valley Community Church, or will God’s people call upon His power and push back against the gathering evil?
