Actor: Why do people have to be like that? They consider themselves my friends, but there is no way that friends should be treating each other like that!
All I said was that I didn’t want to go drinking with them this weekend.
That’s it!
They act as though I shot down their very will for living!
They need to get real!
I’m sick of all the fake attitudes and fake concern they have for me. They really don’t care about me – all they care about is keeping me in check so I don’t make them look bad! It’s really tiring.
Something has to change. I can’t do this thing any longer. I just wish I could get with some friends that understand that there is more to life than just partying and lying and cheating and stealing and hurting . . .
(pauses), . . .
and all the rest of the junk that goes with that kind of life.
I did meet up with some people once – they seemed kinda nice.
I didn’t hang with them too long, ‘cause (emphasizing sarcastically), my friends didn’t approve. They said these new people were nothing but morons – they were Bible freaks who didn’t know how to have a good time. I don’t know about that. I really had a lot of fun with them. There was something different about them. I can’t explain it, but . .
