Taking on ministry? . .  Here’s some excellent advice:
Ministry is Leadership, very important!
But realize who you are in ministry to serve. And who we are in ministry to follow. And where there is Followship there is sometimes “Followship Oooopsies . .  When God has His own ideas of where your (His) ministry is to go.
“Ministry” is a different kind of word, broken down is Mine-His-try, so is your ministry going to be “Mine” or “His”?

We are so pleased to see where God is leading in your life, know that He is in control so remember that you must lead by following. That, I know from first-hand experience, is a very tough order! We want to be in charge, we want to set the course, we want to call the shots. And this brings on a dilemma! We need to be open and sensitive to His leading, but we still must be leaders. And, in case you didn’t notice, that is a “Mission Impossible!”

What this does to us as humans is that some of us will sit around, waiting for His leading, and we do nothing. And that’s wrong, don’t go there. But on the other hand, we must not have our mind so focused on exactly what we want that we can’t, (or even worse, won’t), see and acknowledge when God trots out one of His “ooopsies”. What’s an ooopsie”? That’s when I have my mind all made up and plans all set and God, (and I am sure He has a huge smile on his face when He does it), says, “that is awesome, I love your ideas and you sure did a great job of planning, but . . . . maybe next time, OK? For this time what I want is . . . . . .”
