Beth: So I liked her square in the eye and I said, “Guess you won’t ever see a mosquito that big huh?”

Rebecca, nods head negative: Oh yeh, yeh I get it.

Mel, trying to quickly change the subject: So anyhow, looks like none of our friends are here yet.

Rebecca: Friends? . . . Here?

Beth: Yeh Mel, why would friends be here?

Rebecca: And who are friends anyhow?

Mel: Well it’s Wednesday night isn’t it?

Beth, looks at watch: Yep, sure is for a fact, when the big hand’s at the ten and the little hand’s at the . . . for sure it’s Wednesday night!

Rebecca: I gotta get me one of those, my watch doesn’t tell days.

Mel, exasperated: People! Think! What happens on Wednesday nights?

Beth: Let’s see, my mom goes to the Every Thursday Sky Writers Class. . . . But that is only on the third Wednesday of every month.

Mel: They go to the Every Thursday Sky Writers Class on a Wednesday?

Beth: They found Thursdays were just too busy for most folks.

Rebecca: Makes perfect sense to me.

Mel: I know I will regret asking this but why does Every Thursday Sky Writers Class only happen on the third week of the month.

Beth: People gotta be prepared to change with the times.

Mel: Then why . . . . on second thought, it doesn’t matter that much

.Rebecca: All of which still brings us back to why are we here and what’s this about friends?

Mel: In case you didn’t notice we have our “Friends of the World” meeting every Wednesday at this time.

Beth: All the friends of the world? Could get a little crowded, doncha think? I mean, from the whole world?
