Samople of script:

Noah enters the stage from stage left. As she walks up on stage, she makes the notion of being confronted with people. She raises her hands in frustration as if to fend them off.
Noah: No, no there is no relation! How many times do I have to say it? I never knew the guy! I don’t know what my parents were thinking! (Startled by audience.) Oh, hello. I was just venting a little. I get so angry when people assume things. (Looks at audience.) What are they assuming about me, you ask? Well, as if I want to let more people know, but it’s my name. You see I have the name of a very, let’s say important, person from history. (Pausing.) Well, okay, if you must know, my name is Noah. Seriously! Believe me, this wasn’t my choice!
Don’t believe me? Check it out in your Bibles – (thinking) look in Numbers 27:1. It says, ‘the daughters of Zelophead, son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh, son of Joseph. The names of the daughters were, (here it is), Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tizrah.’
See? I told you! Me and the (emphasizing) other Noah, we share the same name. It was fun for a while – you know shocking people when I told them my name. They just assumed I was some relative who had the name passed down. But, no – this name was chosen specifically for me.
(Pauses for a moment, turns to the right and watches as an imaginary person approaches her.)
Here comes someone now. Hi! My name is Noah! (Smiles and motions with her head turning quickly that the person has walked away.) Did you see the look he gave me? Ha ha! Some people think I must be joking. After all, how could just a simple girl carry the name of such an important person?
There is the downside of it to, you know. After I have all my fun shocking people with my name, there is a certain expectation that comes with it, too. You see, when you carry such an important name like I do, people demand certain things from you. For example, because of the example set from the other guy, I am often expected to be somewhat of a leader or an achiever. Oh, no one has actually said that this is what I should be, but I can tell what is expected of me, and it all goes back to my name.
