Description

We offer ourselves to do the work of God. Obeying God saved Noah and his family from the flood. The first part of the drama is spent with the children during the church service, then they procede to their S.S. class and continue lesson.

Sample of script:

Prior to Noah entering the sanctuary, the pastor invites the children to come to the front of the church.

Pastor says: The great thing about Children's Church is that you get to learn about God and about people in the Bible who have served God. And this morning we have a special treat for you! We have a very special person coming to talk to you in Children's Church this morning.

Noah enters sanctuary from side door:

Good morning! My name is Noah. I'm sure that all of you have heard of me. This morning we are going to go to your Sunday School room and talk about the great Flood.

Can anyone tell me what a flood is? . .Many years ago God asked me to build an ark. Do you know what an ark is? . . . . . . . It took me many years to build that big ark. After I had it built, God had two of every kind of animal come in to the ark. And then it started to rain. Not just a short rain like you have seen! It rained without ever stopping, for 40 days and nights.

God asked me to do something important for Him. At the time I wondered why God chose me to do this important job for Him. God said it was because I always tried to do things according to God's will. That means doing the things that God wants us to do, the things that are right and good.

And just as God expected me to do His will, so He expects that of young people like you as well.

Now let's go to your room and we will talk about the Ark. And about the Flood. And we will talk about how you children should make sure that you are unblemished, doing what God expects of you.

Before we go though, let's pray. "Dear God, I thank you for these children and for their interest in learning about You. Bless these children and their families. We pry in Your name. Amen"

Noah takes the hand of a couple of the smallest children and leads them all down the aisle and out the back door of the sanctuary.
