A poem, written for a mother's 95th birthday celebrations, speaks of a "well done, good and faithful servant" type of life
Sample of script:
Written for my mother on her 95th birthday.
"God is a woman," the angry ones yell,"A male gender deity's made our lives hell!Too long we, inferior, of lesser worth! It's time we establish our rank on this earth!""For centuries now we've been under the yoke,As men have oppressed us, our life is a joke! But now we will prove that this is our hour,We'll seize control of establishment's power."As I watch from my safe spot, my eyes fill with tears,It's true, women's rights have been trod on for years. We men feel self-righteous by mouthing the thought,But gender equality's not women's lot.A sweet flood of memories, such happy thoughts,I recall the example my own parents taught.I see my Mom working alongside my Dad,It all seemed so natural to me as a lad.
