actors walk on stage together, drinking sodas

Alvin: I gotta tell you Allan, this cold drink for sure tastes good on a hot day like today!

Allan: Glad you like it Alvin.

Alvin: Sorry about the mix-up on the name of this drink.

Allan, laughs: It’s OK, I think the young lady at the restaurant accepted your explanation.

Alvin: When she asked me if I wanted Pepsi, who was to know that “Pepsi” meant a drink here on earth.

Allan: Or that “Pepsi” meant a proposal of marriage on Flinder-gleegen-regan!

both actors chuckle

Alvin: It has been good, spending time with you here on earth Allan.

Allan: Yeh, nice getting to know you too Alvin.

Alvin: Interesting place this planet of yours. . . (looks around) . . . I can’t wait for King Woonga to get here and see all this!

Allan: I will take that as a compliment.

Alvin: As it was intended . . . (smiles) . . . mostly.

Allan: Appreciate the compliment . . (smiles) . . . mostly.

Alvin: I am in some ways confused though . . .

Allan: Care to give me a for instance?

Alvin: Well, you told me this is a Christian country, yet hardly any people seem to go to church. . . . Now in Flinder-gleegen-regan, we believe in the star gods, and everyone is required to worship the star gods . . Everyone! . . It is required!.

Allan: God doesn’t work that way. . . He created us, and he called us to be holy, just as he is holy. And he called us to follow him. . . He even sent his own son to die for our sins. . And through that sacrifice God left the way open for us to live as God lives, a holy life. But he gives us the choice of following him, or rejecting him.

Alvin: And only a few choose to do so?

Allan: Unfortunately that is true.

Alvin: So really, here in this land, you people who are the followers of God are aliens.

Allan: I never really thought about it, but I guess you are right.

Alvin: I have overheard non-believers making fun of you believers.

Allan, chuckles: Yes there is lots of that all right.

Alvin: And that doesn’t bother you?

Allan: Having people make fun of your beliefs is never an easy thing, but as Christians we are called to do what is right in God’s sight, not in the sight of man.

Alvin: Look around you, everyone is doing things which you say are sinful . . And they live good lives . . perhaps even better than the lives which you followers of God enjoy. . . So why not enjoy all the pleasures of this world? . . . Like I heard some of your neighbours say, “You only live once.”
