Dad: Oh, lots of things. Like when you are waiting for a friend to come over and play with you. That’s excitement time.

Child: Yeh, you’re right Daddy. I get really excited when Bobby is coming over to play. But what else is excitement time?

Dad: Oh, let’s see, how about when you are about to have a baby in the family, that’s excitement time, isn’t it?

Child: Remember before Daniel was born? I was really excited!

Dad: Or when someone is getting married.

Child: I was really excited to be a flower girl at Auntie Ellen’s wedding.

Dad: Well, the same is true of the time before Christmas. We call it Advent.
